Has anyone made thicker cam chain guides insted of reworking the tensioner ?
Thats what I'm wanting to do, my old chain isnt no different than the new one I got so its not the chain, I have looked into whats the real cause for this prob with the Savage motor and still at a lose..
Other than the cam chain I see this as a really nice motor, the intake port is a little over sized for the RPM this motor runs at so I'll fill in the lower portion with JB-Weld, I also worked over the exhaust side, I've got a 38mm dirt bike carb I'll use on it.... should make for a little more bottom and mid range power....

@s-point: Er fragt ob jemand dickere Steuerkettenführungen gebaut hat statt den Spanner instandzusetzen. Er hat das vor, weil er keinen Unterschied zwischen der alten Kette und der neu gekauften feststellen kann...

Ansonsten gefällt ihm der Motor, der Einlaß sei aber etwas zu groß für die Drehzahlen der LS, deshalb will er da irgendwas mit JB-Weld auffüllen.
Außerdem soll ein 38er Dirt-Bike Vergaser dran, um im unteren und mittleren Drehzahlbereich mehr Power zu bekommen.

Die Antworten überlasse ich den Fachleuten und übersetze die dann gerne...

P.S.: J-B Weld ist 2 Komponenten-Kleber, der nach dem Aushärten wie Metall bearbeitet werden kann (so der Hersteller)

er hat den einlasskanal gemeint und das ist in ordnung, ich dachte den auslasskanal wegen den fotos.
in den deutschen landen wird so etwas auftragsgeschweißt in anderen ländern geklebt.:grin:

So wie ich das verstanden habe, möchte er den Einlaß verkleinern, so wie er es mit dem Auslaß getan hat. Der Grund ist, dass er die Leistung reduzieren will. Er glaubt, dass die Drehzahl für den Motor zu hoch ist.

Ich habe zwar nicht viel Ahnung vom Motorenbau, aber ist das nicht der falsche Ansatz um die Drehzahl zu reduzieren?

Was er mit der Steuerkette genau gemeint hat, weiß ich auch nicht. Wie gesagt, da fehlt mir auch das fachliche Beurteilungsvermögen.

der 38er vergaser bewirkt ein etwas besseren durchzug von unten raus geht aber minimal auf lasten der endgschwindigkeit.
er hat den ansaugkanal dem vergaserquerschnitt angepasst und gleichzeitig durch die löcher für bessere verwirbelung gesorgt das ist absolut ok.

er legt größeren wert auf durchzug, ist bei einem trike ja auch erstrebenswert.

Aber er schreibt auch, dass er das mit dem Auslass auch schon gemacht hat (Reduzierung). Ist das nicht wieder Kraftmindernd?

i´ve found a chinese Trading Portal, called "Alibaba Trade Offers". There are some Manufacturers selling Trikes. There is only one Disadvantage:
These bikes only have 250cc!
